Apple-Cinnamon Porkloin

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

I tried a new recipe this past weekend.  We had a porkloin in the freezer so I went looking for a recipe for Sunday lunch.  I needed to be able to put it in the oven (or crockpot) while we were at church.  This is the recipe I found!  I had to eliminate a few steps because I was going to be gone while it was cooking.  I thought it turned out very well and super easy to prepare!  I served the porkloin with macaroni & cheese and peas.  A quick and easy Sunday lunch!

Apple-Cinnamon Porkloin

2-3 lbs Porkloin
2 T. flour (the recipe called for cornstarch but I didn’t have any.)
1 tsp. Ground Cinnamon
2 T. Brown Sugar, packed
2 T. Dried cranberries (or raisins)
3 apples – cored and sliced (I actually cut the slices in half)

Preheat oven to 350.  Place porkloin in a dutch oven.

Birthday Present from my sister:

Mix together flour, cinnamon, and brown sugar.  Sprinkle half on porkloin.  Then add apples and cranberries, top with the last of the cinnamon mixture.  Cook covered for 2 hrs.

I placed the porkloin in the oven as I was walking out the door for church.  It was in for a little over 2 hrs.  This is what we found when we got home!  Yummy!

I hope you enjoy it as much as we did!  🙂

  1. Looks great. I love pork and apples and I think I could eat cinnamon on just about anything. May have to try this one.
