This is what we had for supper tonight:
I absolutely LOVE it! I got the marinade recipe from my parents. They have used it for years! We like to use a London Broil but I would bet that any cut of beef would be good in it!
Meat Marinade
1/4 C. Soy Sauce 1-2 Garlic Cloves, crushed (I used some from a jar.) 2 T. Cider Vinegar 1 T. Sugar 1 T. Worchestershire Sauce 1/8 tsp. Ground Ginger (Fresh works great also!)Mix all ingredients well.
I took a London Broil and placed it in a ziploc bag (be sure to tenderize it first.) Then I poured the marinade over it and put it in the frig overnight. This morning I flipped it over so the other side could soak up the marinade. Pull the meat out about 30 min. before grilling. Then get ready to grill!
Grilling Instructions (from my dad):
Grill on a medium to high heat to brown the outside quickly. Turn it every 3 minutes because the marinade will burn if left on the grill unattended for very long.
Typically we cook it twice on each side. If the London Broil is about 1.5 inches thick that will produce some areas that are about medium doneness. Adjust your times accordingly.
As stated before, the marinade will easily burn. Do not leave unattended.
After taking the London Broil from the grill, let it “rest” for a few minutes, then slice. It’s great dipped in horseradish! Yummy!
Oh and the leftovers are just as good, if not better! You know, if you have any. 🙂
Enjoy!
I’m hungry….:( 😉
