Oreo Truffles

Anyone else love to make cookies & candies this time of year?  I absolutely love it!  I just came across this recipe last year.  They are so good but WARNING: they are very rich!!!

Recipe comes from “Favorite Recipes From Around the Knob”  Pilot Mtn Woman’s Club.

Oreo Truffles

1 pkg Oreo cookies
1 block cream cheese, softened
Almond Bark, vanilla flavored  (Use whatever you prefer.)

Finely chop oreos in food processor.  In a large bowl, combine cream cheese and oreo crumbs.  Mixing well.  Roll into balls and refrigerate until cold, 30min-1 hr.  Melt almond bark in microwave or on stove-top; dip balls and place on wax paper.  If you want to decorate them, make sure you do so BEFORE the chocolate has set.  You can top with crushed oreos, shaved chocolate or sprinkles!

  1. Even easier, just throw the cream cheese in the food processor after the cookies are chopped and let it do the mixing for you! It works well.

    • Good idea! I actually asked for a food processor for Christmas. I have a small one but it takes several batches to get them all chopped.
Helen said you tried these with choco. chip cookies! I’ll have to give that a try too!
