MERRY CHRISTMAS
The anticipation is over and Christmas morning is here!!! We spent last night with David’s family. We enjoyed a German supper, opening presents, putting reindeer food in the yard, leaving milk and cookies for Santa, reading the Christmas story and listening to a my FAVORITE Christmas record, Santa Claus is Coming to Town. My sister and I would go to sleep listening to this record every year. It finally felt like Christmas Eve as I heard “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas” begin to play. What wonderful memories!
The boys were awake by 7:15am. This is actually late for Abby and I. If we slept past 6:00am, we were pushing it! haha! The earlier the better. A couple of weeks ago Landon talked to Santa and gave him a letter he had written. When Landon woke up this morning, he found his letter with a message from Santa, laying beside the empty cookie plate and milk glass. His face was priceless!!!
We have enjoyed opening gifts and playing with new toys this morning. David’s mom and dad came over for breakfast and we had a breakfast casserole, biscuits, bacon and country ham (a tradition). It’s been such a pleasant morning!
We are off the the nursing home in a little bit to help deliver a Christmas gift! Our church Sunday school purchased a Wii for the nursing home. I can’t wait to see them us it! 🙂 I’m looking forward to spreading some Christmas cheer!
I look at my children & my husband and I’m quickly reminded that we are blessed in so many ways. How blessed we are that God sent his Son, Jesus, to walk this earth, to save us from our sins, and spend eternity with him!
I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Love,
