This is a favorite at my house! Our friends, Ken & Ginny, shared this recipe with us but instead of chicken they had used wild turkey. I love it both ways!
And before you read down the ingredient list and think that I have completely lost it putting seafood breader on chicken, let me explain. House Autry Seafood Breader is by far the BEST breader I have found. It has the best seasoning and truly works well on most anything…chicken, fish, turkey, deer, bear, etc…. I highly recommend it!
Buffalo Chicken Bites
Chicken breasts, cut up into bite sized pieces Texas Pete Buffalo Style Chicken Wing Sauce House Autry Seafood BreaderPlace chicken chunks into a small bowl and cover with Texas Pete Buffalo Wing Sauce. There will be no leftover marinade so don’t over do it. Let it sit for 10-15 min. (While waiting plug in your Fry-Daddy.) When you are ready to fry, add breader to chicken. I don’t know exact measurements but you will want a tacky batter, like this:
Make sure your oil is very hot and drop in one by one, usually 8-10 per cooking. Pull them out when they have turned a golden-red color. It doesn’t take very long. Place on a paper towel to soak up any extra oil.
We like to eat these with ranch, honey, or honey mustard. I’m sure blue cheese dressing would also be good!
This looks yummy! Andy likes things that don’t have a sauce on the outside. I think he’ll like it this way!
I don’t like chicken wings but the breast cup up sounds good. I also don’t like hot stuff. How hot does the Texas Pete make these? I still have not tried any of your recipes but really want to! I come home from work beat tired and could care less about cooking! I need to try your easy chicken ranch recipe. One of my biggest problems is that I never have important ingredients on hand, i.e. meats!!! I hate grocery shopping because it wipes out so much money but then I stress when I get home and can’t come up with something to eat because all we have is pork (imagine that….good thing we get one slaughtered every so often and have meat on hand else we’d never have protein). I need to get a grip on grocery shopping soon since Kate is ready to have whatever we have, or at least she thinks she is 🙂
Jess, they really aren’t hot. I don’t like real spicy food either. Actually, I do like it but it doesn’t usually like me!
And I completely understand about cooking. I have always loved to cook until the boys came along and I was just too tired. Just in the past year have I started back. I try to make a menu for the week and buy accordingly. It really does help! There’s no thinking to it, just fix what you planned for! I have thought about adding a menu planning section. I can list out our plans for the week. Don’t know if that will help or not???
Yes Tiffany…….PLEASE add the menu planning section! That would be really helpful I come home in the afternoons and have no idea what to fix and then just end up throwing something together quickly just to have something for everyone to eat. I would really love to see more of your ideas. Thanks!!!!
Steph, I’ll see what I can do! It may be the first of the year before I can tackle it but I’ll give it a try!
