Since it’s a rainy, windy day and I’m not going anywhere, I thought it would be a great day to kick-off my THANKSGIVING recipes! Thanksgiving is exactly 2 weeks away so let the planning begin.
My family and I have actually had an email going back and forth discussing who would bring what. I think we have narrowed it down, at least for now!
Let’s get started with something sweet! This cobbler is soooooo GOOD and very easy to make! I love anything with pumpkin and cinnamon and it makes the house smell devine!
Pumpkin Cobbler
This recipe comes from Gooseberry Patch Flavors of Fall Cookbook (with a little tweaking!)
Mix the first 8 ingredients together. Pour pumpkin batter into a greased 9×13 baking dish. Sprinkle cake mix over top and drizzle with butter. Take a butter knife and “swirl” the cake mix into the batter. Bake at 350 for 25 min., then top with pecans. Bake an additional 15 min or until firm. Makes 15-18 servings.
Are you taking this to Thanksgiving dinner?!? Hmmmm…be careful what you post! We might make YOU cook all weekend long! 🙂
How about we cook together?! Now that would be FUN! You know, crackin’ on Mom, making fun of Dad, running David out of the kitchen, listening to the boys play the Wii and talking smack to anyone who plays against them! 🙂 It’s quite entertaining around there!
So I’ve now added evap milk and a yellow cake mix to my list of T-day dinner groceries!!! Sounds YUMMY! I have an apple squash bake that is delish too!!!
Missy – shoot me that recipe! theturners4@embarqmail.com
